Roof Cleaning

ROOF CLEANING
At Squeaky clean services we use the latest in roof cleaning techniques. We use compressed air to lift the moss and a wire brush to remove it. We NEVER use a pressure washer unless the customer asks for it.
What We
Offer
Step 01
Get A Quote
Getting a quote is easy. Simply send us your address and what you need doing and we will take a look on Google earth. We can then give you a rough idea of a price. If you then want to continue we will visit your property to do a site survey and lock a price in for you. That will be the price you pay with no hidden extras.
Step 03
Clean Up
Once we have removed the moss we will either bag it up in heavy duty rubble sacks or we can put it where the customer wants, (compost heap, under bushes etc) We do not remove moss from the property. The gutters downpipes are emptied and checked and any moss on the floor is tidied away. As we don't use water to clean this is easily done quite often with just a leaf blower and a broom. Once we have completed the job we will give your windows a wash
Step 05
Why Choose Us
We actually love our work and take it very seriously. The results we get from cleaning your roof are foremost in our minds.
We have invested considerable amount of time and money in getting the proper training we need and the most up to date equipment so we can get the best results on your roof. We are also fully insured.
Other companies may pressure wash roofs which we can do if that's what you want but we feel that our method is less likely to cause any damage.
Step 02
Moss Removal
When we arrive, if needed we will set up a mobile tower scaffold and the rest of our equipment. We will remove 90-95% of the moss from the roof using our compressed air system. This uses a small jet of compressed air which lifts the moss and then its followed by a wire brush that removes the moss. Any loose moss is then removed from the roof.
Step 04
Biocide Wash
Biocide is a chemical that kills the biomass (moss, moss spores, algae and lichen) on the roof. This works instantly by breaking down the cell walls of organic matter. When first treated the roof can actually look worse as Beta Keratin (the thing that makes carrots look orange) is released from the biomass cells as it breaks down. this will soon fade. Over the next 6-12months depending on what the biomass is made up of the roof will continue to clean itself as dead biomass is gradually washed off the roof. This comes off as a fine dust so is washed away and won't block the gutters. By having the biocide wash it will remove any remaining biomass from the roof and increase the time it stays clean.
